Account Administrator
The account administrator, under the direct supervision of the regional operations manager, supports sales representatives by coordinating internal operations, performing administrative duties, and assisting in the achievement of growth objectives. This role also provides customer service related to claims, membership, and general inquiries (via email, phone call, or in-person), ensuring that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS) is accurately represented in all interactions according to corporate standards. This position requires the ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and timely in a fast-paced, deadline driven production office environment. This position is onsite in the Manhattan office. $27.08 - $33.80 hourly Non-Exempt 13 - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers excellent competitive compensation with the goal of retaining and growing talented team members. The compensation range for this role is a good faith estimate, it is estimated based on what a successful candidate might be paid. All offers presented to candidates are carefully reviewed to ensure fair, equitable pay by offering competitive wages that align with the individual's skills, education, experience, and training. The range may vary above or below the stated amounts. What You'll Do
Coordinate activities and logistics to support sales representatives in achieving growth targets, which include organization and maintenance of group files, documentation, and delivery of timely reporting. Manage a high volume of phone and email communications for self and sales representatives while maintaining a positive and professional manner. Organize travel, meetings, and materials for group presentations and weekly sales calls. Assist in proposal and renewal rating processes, including rate calculations, broker fee verification, employee meetings (when applicable), preparation of sales literature and benefit material for customer presentations, and submission of accurate information for processing. Conduct group administrator meetings (in-person or virtual) to explain benefit administration. Support employee meetings and respond to customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints via email, phone, or in-person walk-ins; this may include claims research, benefit discrepancies identification, situational analysis, with the ability to coordinate information with other divisions and departments to solve problems. Compliance with corporate information security policies, standards, and guidelines related to access control. Participates in various job-related training throughout the year (travel may be required). Must support and exhibit the company's values of integrity, dependability, service, growth and progress, and courage. Successfully completes Federally Facilitated Marketplace (FFM) training, annually. What You Need
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to adapt to changing priorities, multitask effectively, and complete assigned tasks in a fast-paced deadline driven environment with minimal direction and follow-up. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate and collaborate across all lines of business including internal departments, external contacts, brokers and groups. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to manipulate and analyze data in spreadsheets, graphs, and other reports. Possess a high-level learning agility; able to efficiently learn and apply knowledge of benefit structures and underwriting standards in a group sales and enrollment environment. An innovative thinker with good judgement as well as strong analytical and decision-making skills. Demonstrates an excellent work ethic including a high level of honesty, loyalty, integrity, and professionalism. Ability to exhibit discretion in handling confidential information, in accordance with corporate compliance standards.
