SONIC Multi-Unit Leader Job Description

As a Sonic Multi-Unit Leader, you will manage the operations of all General Managers and employees within multiple SONIC drive-ins. Your responsibilities include training and supporting employees to ensure the provision of quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient environment, ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. The job duties include:
- Managing, training, and coaching General Managers, including conducting management orientations.
- Directing and assigning employees to meet operational standards.
- Overseeing employees and management across multiple drive-ins, performing duties in various stations (e.g., Fountain & Frozen, Dresser, Front Swamp, etc.) to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensuring compliance with employee handbook, policies, and practices.
- Addressing employee issues and policy violations promptly and reporting them to supervisors.
- Reviewing work schedules to ensure proper staffing and service continuity.
- Monitoring cost control procedures for food, labor, and inventory, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Monitoring vendor performance and taking corrective actions as needed.
- Auditing employment and payroll records.
- Reinforcing guest-first service principles with management.
- Responding to guest requests and complaints respectfully and promptly.
- Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring management team members.
- Approving compensation levels within company guidelines.
- Preparing operational reports and developing action plans for financial or sales issues.
- Developing and implementing regional marketing plans.
Additional Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.
- Minimum of three years restaurant management experience, preferably in QSR.
- Experience supervising multiple units.
- Availability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, and legal labor practices.
- Leadership, communication, basic accounting, and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently, multitask, and solve problems effectively.
