Position Freelance/Per Diem Photographer – CBS 13 & KC 31 Location West Sacramento, California – Travel may be required at short notice. Job Type Freelance (Non‑Staff) Overview The CBS owned and operated station in Sacramento is recruiting a freelance news photographer/editor. The role requires over three years of television news experience and will reinforce talent storytelling with visual texture. Qualifications Over 3 years of television news experience covering breaking news, features and sports. Sound journalistic judgment. Passion for visual storytelling. Excellent lighting skills. Deadline oriented. Experience operating microwave, bonded‑cellular packs and/or satellite trucks. Valid driver’s license and excellent driving record. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work any shift. Occasional travel. Working knowledge of XDCAM EX camera and Grass Valley EDIUS editing systems. Familiarity with live trucks and bonded cellular packs.
