Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Senior Pricing Analyst (Level 4) to join the Missile Products Pricing & Estimating team in the Business Management department. The selected candidate will provide guidance and support to business unit activities. This position will be located on‑site in Rocket Center, WV, or Huntsville, AL.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop efficient and effective proposal execution plans for RFP/RFQ/Solicitations from the U.S. Government and other customers.
Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with RFP/RFQ/Solicitation specifications.
Review and analyze RFP/RFQ/Solicitations to determine/develop the costing requirements and goals.
Collaborate with other proposal and functional areas (Business Development, Business Management, Contracts, Global Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Logistics) to develop strategies in support of RFP/RFQ/Solicitation requirements and deadlines.
Identify and investigate impediments, analyze possible alternatives, and resolve the root cause/bottlenecks and follow through on actions in a timely and accurate manner.
Compile, analyze, and present pricing strategies and other proposal‑related data.
Coordinate proposal kick‑off meetings, fact‑finding meetings and other required ad‑hoc meetings to drive adherence to schedule and monitor risk to address volatility in proposal requirements, deadlines, and our offering.
Perform comprehensive review of all elements of cost including direct labor, material, other direct cost, and indirect costs to ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and Northrop Grumman procedures.
Develop compliant estimates according to company and government policies and procedures; review Task Description/Basis of Estimate for compliance and adherence to the program or capture plan (analogous, parametric, CERs and engineering estimates).
Generate and maintain proposal data files in ProPricer and/or Proposal Integration folders.
Ensure proposals are timely, accurate and compliant in accordance with RFP specifications, FAR/DFARS requirements, and the Sector Estimating System and Procedures.
Support customer RFIs, fact finding, updates, negotiations, and corrective actions.
Lead certification sweeps and processes for certifying proposals.
Support customer/government audits on a periodic basis.
Actively pursue problem‑solving opportunities and suggest/implement work‑around solutions to improve the proposal process.
Support affordability and quality initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with 12 years of related experience.
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of related experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of related experience.
Aerospace/defense industry and business management experience.
Extensive experience in pricing, finance, contracts, business, and/or business operations.
Ability to prioritize effectively and complete work timely in a deadline‑driven environment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong presentation skills.
Active DoD Government Secret clearance.
ProPricer experience.
Knowledge of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80A, allowing employees to work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday and take every other Friday off.
Primary Level Salary Range:
$101,400.00 – $168,200.00. The above range is a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers several factors when determining base salary offers such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and, for Vice President or Director positions, long‑term incentives. Northrop Grumman also provides health insurance, life and disability insurance, a savings plan, company‑paid holidays, and paid time off for vacation and personal business.
