Do you love history and enjoy sharing this passion with people of all ages and backgrounds? Step back in time with the Craik-Patton House, a stately Greek‑Revival 19th‑century historic house museum. Visitors can tour the museum and hear compelling stories of the house’s early inhabitants, including James Craik and Colonel George Smith Patton. The nonprofit organization preserves the history, genealogy, and culture of West Virginia and the United States, supporting research and education in the Kanawha Valley.
Member Duties
Collection management for the Craik‑Patton House Library, museum collection, and ephemera
Volunteer management
Guided tours of the museum house and collection
Historical research and content development
Group project coordination for cleaning and painting areas of the house

Stipend and an education award upon successful completion of service
Terms Members may attend school during off‑hours, are allowed to work another job during off‑hours, and are advised to bring a car (recommended).
