4086 Advisors is hiring a Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income who is responsible for the management of assigned investment accounts (30+ billion AUM). The individual will contribute and implement portfolio strategy, report on performance and attribution, and maintain close connection to financial markets to share insights on market developments, drivers, and outlook. Responsibilities
Managing bond portfolios and overall credit risk, focusing on downside protection. Balancing portfolio performance with optimal investment earnings and other financial objectives. Working with senior management to meet investment performance expectations. Overseeing and monitoring the purchase and sale of securities based on ALM requirements, portfolio rebalancing, index migration, and related variables. Collaborating with asset specialists, traders, and research to identify appropriate investments. Analyzing market trends to make decisions in the best interest of the portfolios. Working closely with 4086 investment analysts on investment recommendations. Adhering to and maintaining investment policy guidelines. Qualifications
Knowledge of the full spectrum range of fixed‑income security types. Experience with long‑term strategic asset allocation. Ability to communicate portfolio needs and rationale. Experience with fixed‑income portfolio management tools (e.g., Bloomberg). Highly collaborative and able to work well in a fast‑paced environment. Strong attention to detail. What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of related experience in an institutional investment environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). What Will Set You Apart
Master’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, or related field. 7+ years of related work experience in an institutional investment environment. Strong drive for results. Strong written and oral communication skills. CFA, CAIA, or MBA is preferred. Benefits
