Federal Proposal Coordinator – Entry Level
Location: Hybrid – At least 4 days onsite in Tysons Corner, VA.
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate activities, tasks, and communication across the capture to submission life cycle.
Develop proposal schedules, calendars, and manage color review logistics to meet deadlines.
Serve as point of contact with teaming partners on data calls and coordination activities.
Support development of proposal content, including narrative editing and graphics.
Maintain proposal knowledge base including archiving and metadata management.
Generate proposal status reporting and track document version control.
Organize and prepare meeting briefs, templates, and support materials for proposal sessions.
Work closely with project managers to ensure proposals address all RFP requirements.
Maintain information systems including resume libraries, project descriptions, boilerplate repositories, and marketing databases.
Collaborate with BD resources (Proposal Coordinators, Capture Managers, Proposal Managers, Account Directors) on best practices.
Conduct research on government agencies and outreach to contracting officers and program stakeholders to support business development.
Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or related field.
0-2 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or Proposal Coordinator.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Excellent coordination, organization, and time management skills.
Strong writing/editing skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Highly motivated with strong desire to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Federal contracting or Shipley proposal methodology.
