SEC Audit Manager / Regulator
Job Description
As an SEC Audit Manager / Regulator, you will have the opportunity to use your skills and experience in auditing to participate in a rigorous program of inspections of registered public accounting firms, including:
Inspecting portions of audit workpapers to assess compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, the rules of the Board, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and professional standards in connection with audits, report issuance, and related matters involving issuers;
Assessing firms' quality control structures and their impact on audit quality;
Meeting and interviewing firm personnel to understand their quality control structures, audit approaches, and to identify deficiencies;
Gathering and organizing information to support inspection issues;
Researching and consulting on technical issues;
Communicating findings to firm personnel through meetings and comment forms; and
Drafting inspection reports and comment forms.
Additional Opportunities:
Enhance technical skills through inspection activities and collaboration with inspection teams;
Participate in projects to improve the Inspection program;
Contribute to training courses;
Assist in the firms' recruiting process.
Qualifications
Current CPA license required;
Six to fifteen years of experience at the Senior Manager or Manager level in U.S.-traded company audits;
Bachelor's degree in Accounting; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus;
Strong knowledge of PCAOB standards, GAAP, and/or IFRS;
Excellent communication skills (written and oral);
Ability to work independently and in teams;
Willingness to travel 20-30%, including internationally;
Fluency in a foreign language is a plus.
