About the Role:

We are seeking a

Loan Closing Specialist

to join our Team. This role supports the daily operations and servicing of commercial loans, including loan closings, fundings, draws, client servicing, and cross‑team collaboration. The position provides critical support to ensure compliance with approvals, accuracy in documentation, and efficiency in all aspects of loan closing and servicing management.

Requirements In this role, you will:

Manage and execute commercial loan closings by reviewing loan documents, coordinating deal diligence, collaborating with the deal team and ensuring compliance with credit approval and requirements.

Oversee and coordinate all aspects of loan closing activities by reviewing and executing fundings, draws, payoffs, and borrower requests, ensuring accuracy compliance and timely execution.

Partner with Investment Professionals, Chief Credit Officer, Director of Loan Operations, and Servicing teams to resolve issues, streamline processes, and improve overall operational efficiency.

Assist with loan servicing activities by handling modifications, processing loan bookings, and ensuring all actions align with credit approvals and compliance.

Conduct and support regular audits and reconciliations of loan terms and files, debt service payments, and interest accruals to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Review and maintain detailed documentation and ensure all closing packages meet internal approval standards and regulatory requirements.

Contribute to special projects and actively support ongoing process improvements across the team.

Required Qualifications

3–5 years of experience in commercial real estate loan closing and servicing with a strong background in managing complex transactions.

Comprehensive knowledge of commercial loan closings and diligence requirements, including loan documentation, real estate diligence, and new loan fundings.

Exceptional organizational abilities and clear, professional communication skills to manage loan processes.

Proficiency in loan origination systems and document management platforms ensuring accuracy and efficiency in closing packages.

Proficient in reviewing, interpreting and verifying loan documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy, compliance and adherence to approved terms.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple closings and loan servicing request simultaneously.

Desired Qualifications

Prior experience in commercial loan closings, monitoring real estate diligence and loan servicing.

Proven ability to manage and monitor closing diligence while working collaboratively in a deal team environment with Investment Professionals and Borrowers nationwide.

In‑depth knowledge of commercial loan closings, including diligence gathering and coordination with third‑party vendors, internal stakeholders, Outside Counsel, and Borrowers.

Proficiency with SharePoint and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, OneNote).

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Demonstrated ability to organize effectively, manage multiple priorities, and maintain focus in a fast‑paced environment.

Skilled in navigating multiple systems and utilizing search tools efficiently.

Poven time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
