Job Description We are a high‑end interior design firm with offices in Brentwood, Dallas, and Cabo San Lucas, seeking a Senior Interior Designer to collaborate with the Principal, clients, junior designers, and vendors. The role will manage projects from concept to final installation, including design presentations, budgeting, procurement, and site coordination.
Responsibilities
Support the Principal, Project Managers, and team in the implementation and management of residential, commercial, or hospitality interior design projects from initial planning through completion.
Assemble design presentations.
Gather quotes, create and prepare proposal packages using Studio Designer; communicate timely with vendors regarding proposals, receipts, and payments.
Oversee preparation and submission of purchase orders to vendors.
Create project budgets and track spending throughout the project.
Prepare floor, space, furniture plans and elevations in AutoCAD and produce hand drawings or computer renderings that communicate design intent.
Maintain interior design documents such as plans, specifications, templates, schedules, and shop drawings.
Source furniture, fabrics, fixtures, finishes, and accessories aligned with client needs and the Principal’s vision.
Maintain continuous communication with the Principal, Project Managers, design team, and vendors regarding timelines, lead times, custom orders, fabric selections, CFAs, inspections, installations, and other project information.
Represent the company at meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors.
Organize and spearhead installations.
Qualifications
4‑year degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or an equivalent skill set.
3–5 + years of experience in high‑end residential design.
Experience managing projects with specified budgets and timelines.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong knowledge of design, materials, showrooms, drafting, space planning, and custom furniture design.
Strong problem‑solving, time‑management, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong communicator who represents the firm well when interacting with clients and vendors.
Key Skills
Proficient in AutoCAD (3–5 + years of experience preferred).
Knowledge of Studio Designer.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
Creative eye for design and space planning.
Experience in furniture and product design (plus).
Experience in rendering (plus).
