Hybrid, Washington, DC About the Role

We are seeking an exceptionally accomplished and visionary Sr. Enterprise Account Executive to join our Enterprise/Field Sales team. In this expert-level role, you will lead Cloudflare’s most strategic customer engagements, driving and expanding critical platform sales within focused accounts. The ideal candidate possesses strong sales leadership, a profound grasp of enterprise architecture across all four pillars (business, data, applications, technology), and the ability to articulate how Cloudflare integrates into modern cloud operating models. As a Sr. Enterprise Account Executive, you will demonstrate high-level sales proficiency, ensure accurate forecasting, strategic pipeline management, and consistently exceed targets. You will educate customers and partners on Cloudflare’s product ecosystem and its role within security. The role requires applying executive sponsorship programs, engaging with CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs, and leading virtual teams to navigate and close complex opportunities. You will shape our customers’ digital transformation journeys and position Cloudflare as a strategic partner. What You'll Do

Executive-Level Strategic Revenue Leadership: Own and execute critical territory and account plans, consistently exceeding multi-million dollar sales targets and quotas by closing large-scale platform deals within focused accounts. Precision Forecasting & Pipeline Mastery: Lead with accuracy in forecasting and proactive pipeline management, providing strategic guidance that shapes the sales organization. Enterprise Architecture & Business Model Expertise: Demonstrate expert understanding of Enterprise Architecture across business, data, applications, and technology, mapping to customer models and modern cloud operating models. C-Suite Engagement & Executive Sponsorship: Lead complex engagements across multiple business units, applying executive sponsorship programs with CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs. Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence: Lead virtual teams including Product Managers, VPs, and SVPs to manage and close strategic opportunities; remove roadblocks and drive efficient delivery. Digital Transformation Visionary: Argue Cloudflare’s role in digital transformation and identify opportunities within broader market trends that influence customer decisions. Organizational Communication & Feedback: Align messaging across departments, review performance, and provide constructive feedback to improve organization-wide outcomes. Long-Term Strategic Impact: Articulate long-term impacts of decisions and model Cloudflare’s high standards and expectations. Define Goals & Drive Efficiency: Help define quarterly team goals and metrics, understand interdependencies, and address roadblocks to maximize efficiency. Innovation & Problem Solving: Proactively address needs, drive change, and foster positive innovation across the organization. Inclusive Leadership: Bring in diverse perspectives to address today’s and future challenges, contributing to Cloudflare’s success. Industry & Product Expertise: Demonstrate mastery of Cloudflare’s product suite and the security landscape; educate customers and partners at an expert level. Sales Tools Proficiency: Use advanced sales and BI platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Tableau, G-Suite, MS Office) and MEDDPICC methodologies. Educational & Travel Flexibility: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred; ability to travel as needed. Qualifications

10+ years of expert-level experience selling complex, multi-million dollar technology solutions in a B2B enterprise model, with a proven quota-attainment record. Deep knowledge of Cloudflare’s product suite and the security landscape; ability to educate customers and partners at an expert level. Expertise in mapping Enterprise Architecture to customer models and modern cloud environments. Proven ability to manage executive sponsorship programs and influence CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs. Experience leading virtual teams of VPs/SVPs to close strategic opportunities. Strong digital transformation acumen and market-trend awareness. Exceptional strategic communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Long-term, thoughtful decision making with focus on Cloudflare’s future. Ability to define team goals, drive cross-department efficiency, and address roadblocks. Humility with a drive for positive, innovative change across the organization. Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, MEDDPICC, etc. Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Ability to travel extensively to engage with customers and internal teams. Compensation Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. Estimated annual salary of $320,000- $350,000 (base/variable) This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation under Cloudflare’s Sales Compensation Plan. The estimated annual salary range includes the on-target incentive compensation that may be attained in this role under the Sales Compensation Plan.
