An established infrastructure and energy services firm is seeking a motivated
Account Executive
to drive growth within the
public sector
across the Central U.S. The ideal candidate will be
based within the state of Kentucky
and comfortable with regular regional travel (30–50%, including overnight stays).
This is a consultative sales role focused on identifying, developing, and closing opportunities with public entities such as
K-12 schools, universities, municipalities, and other government agencies . The position involves both strategic relationship building and solution-selling of
infrastructure and energy-focused improvements . Key Responsibilities
Generate new business by prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and industry event participation.
Build relationships with key decision-makers across the public sector to identify needs and propose tailored solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop comprehensive technical and financial proposals.
Lead the sales cycle from discovery through contract close, ensuring alignment between client objectives and deliverables.
Maintain ongoing client relationships throughout project development and execution.
Qualifications
Minimum of
5 years’ experience in complex solution-based sales , preferably involving public entities or infrastructure.
Strong background in
consultative selling , including experience with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholder environments.
Confident communicator able to present both technical and financial value to executive-level stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in business, public administration, or a related field.
Must reside
within Kentucky
and be open to regular travel within the region.
