Proposal Manager – Gainwell Technologies

As a Proposal Manager, you will drive the end‑to‑end proposal life cycle, ensuring timely, compliant, and high‑quality responses that effectively communicate our value to clients. You will collaborate across teams, manage schedules, and provide strategic guidance to secure successful outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and manage the proposal life cycle, including reviewing RFP requirements and identifying issues prior to submission. Define document structure, create outlines, compliance matrices, and storyboards to support writers. Develop and maintain schedules that incorporate client deadlines and critical milestones. Facilitate review cycles for compliance and value, including color‑team reviews. Review proposals to verify compliance, compelling value, and alignment with win themes and differentiators. Understand customer market challenges and articulate how Gainwell’s technology‑enabled solutions address those needs. Oversee proposal team members and serve as the single point of contact for support teams during development. Collaborate with senior management, subject‑matter experts, sales/marketing, and proposal leadership to meet deadlines. Track client RFP changes, communicate updates to the pursuit team. Coordinate with finance to verify pricing and with Production Coordinator to produce print and electronic media. Deliver quality proposals on time, contributing to high‑scoring, compliant strategies. Ensure proper close‑down and archival of client documents post‑submission. Assist other department staff as needed. Qualifications
Strong project management, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple deadlines and work well under pressure. Good interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and clients. Understanding of proposal/project management responsibilities and follow‑through to meet deadlines. Ability to articulate and present business value of company solutions. Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks. Education & Experience Requirements
BA or equivalent experience in Business Management, Communications, Journalism, or English. Minimum of 3 years’ experience with proposal or project management in a fast‑paced, highly strategic environment. APMP and PMP certifications are a plus. Experience with Medicaid FFS or State Governments is a plus. Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with Adobe Professional, Visio, Project, and RFPIO/Responsive is a plus. What to Expect
