Overview
As a Produce Clerk at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will live our name on a daily basis, delivering farm‑fresh produce, maintaining top‑quality presentation, and providing exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced, friendly environment. You will handle, prepare, and merchandise produce, stock and rotate items, trim, water, and maintain product quality as directed by department schematics, ensure tag and pricing accuracy, and assist customers with any questions.
Responsibilities
Stock the Produce department, including presentation, facing, filling, and organization of all product items per produce department schematics.
Properly stock and rotate merchandise, including trimming, watering, and merchandising to ensure fresh, high‑quality offerings.
Maintain inventory control to maximize product freshness and availability.
Provide friendly and helpful assistance to customers, answering questions and delivering a positive experience.
Perform repeatable activities, multitask, prioritize, and stay organized in a fast‑paced environment.
Team members under 18 are restricted from: using a knife (other than safety cutters), using a ladder, operating a garbage or cardboard compactor, operating any motor or electronically powered equipment (including manual pallet jacks), and working in coolers or freezers for prolonged periods.
Qualifications
At least 16 years of age.
Dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to take direction and collaborate in a team environment.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, lift, stack, and maneuver heavy objects up to 50 lbs. over short distances, and walk up to 5 miles during an 8‑hour shift.
Adherence to all safety, health, OSHA, and Weights and Measures regulations.
Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.
Pay Range The pay range for this position is $18.20 - $24.55 per hour, determined by applicable experience and qualifications.
