Nashville Public Radio
The Fort Worth Report is seeking a newsletter editor to lead the writing and curating of stories for the Daily Report, our flagship newsletter, while also editing and guiding other specialty newsletters written by reporters.
As a 5-year-old organization, the Report team is still shaping its audience strategy, and this role plays a critical role in deepening relationships with our 100,000+ newsletter subscribers — one of our most critical audience groups — and pushing them toward becoming members.
The newsletter editor role is ideal for someone with a strong sense of voice, ability to engage with readers, and an understanding of how important newsletters are to driving growth and revenue. The ideal candidate can have a mix of newsroom experience, but the ability to write well, edit for accuracy and use metrics to drive strategy is critical.
The newsletter editor sits on the audience team within the newsroom and reports directly to the director of audience while closely interacting with our publisher/CEO, general manager/CRO and managing editor. This is a full‑time in‑office position with benefits.

Strong news judgement with a proven ability to fact‑check and a firm grasp of AP style.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and work under deadline pressure.
Must be based in or willing to relocate to Fort Worth or Tarrant County in a reasonable time frame.
Proficiency in a language other than English is a plus but not required.
Along with ample opportunity for growth in the country’s 11th‑largest city, we offer a competitive salary, plus health insurance (medical, dental, vision), generous holiday, sick and vacation leave, and flexible work hours.
There are great candidates who might not check all these boxes or who hold important skills we haven’t listed. Don’t hesitate to apply and tell us about yourself. FWR is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to hiring employees from diverse backgrounds. People of color, women, LGBTQ+, and differently‑abled people are strongly encouraged to apply.
