Purpose of Position Support the continual growth of real estate projects by improving efficiency and consistency across projects. Help plan and design projects to ensure that all stakeholders are on the same page. Identify cost savings opportunities and negotiate with contractors and suppliers to ensure the best value. Ensure that the project is completed to the desired specifications to prevent rework and meet all deadlines. Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate. Ensure that projects comply with building codes, zoning laws, and other legal requirements. Provide technical support for developing design documentation.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Project Coordination: The architectural coordinator serves as the central point of contact for all project stakeholders, including contractors, vendors, architects, and engineers. Manage project timelines, budgets, and schedules, ensuring that the project is completed on time and within budget.

Prepare design options and feasibility studies prior to engaging.

Contractor Selection: Select contractors and vendors to work on the project, negotiating contracts and ensuring that they meet the project's requirements.

Design: Aid in the design process, working with architects and engineers to ensure that the design meets the project requirements, complies with building codes and other regulations, and is feasible within the project's budget and timeline.

Project Planning: Help develop project plans, including the scope, timeline, and budget. Work with stakeholders to define project requirements, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or REVIT is required.

Knowledge of Design Manuals for branded environments.

Familiar with National CAD standards.

Minimum three (3) years’ experience working in the Engineering, Construction or Architecture Industry.

Minimum Associate’s (2 years) degree in Engineering, Construction, Architecture or Drafting technology.

General knowledge of construction trades, especially millwork details, wood and steel framing, concrete, masonry, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems is a plus.

Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and/or plumbing building codes.

Knowledge of how to field measure and draw an as-built is a must.

Ability to understand contract documents, plans, and specifications.

Excellent time management skills and detail oriented.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Location: In Columbus office 5 days per week.

Prepare design options and feasibility studies prior to engaging design professionals.

Prepare accurate drawings using AutoCAD and/or REVIT from sketches after visiting job sites.

Prepare complete and accurate renderings from sketches, notes, or meetings.

Support technical development with accuracy and precision.

Review shop drawings and provide feedback to consulting design professionals.

Develop design manuals for NetJets Corporate Standards.

Maintain Architecture/Design standards for NetJets’ compliance.

Update building/facility maps and uploading to facility management system for moves, additional workspaces, and changes to existing workspace.

Update NetJets CRE standards and playbook.

Maintain Materials Library – obtain samples, organize existing standards.
