Position Summary As a Produce Department Lead you will drive sales in your area and supervise your team of hourly associates to deliver to our members more of what they love, for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets the member’s expectations.

What you’ll do

Be a Team Leader – supervises the team in the Produce and Floral area to deliver on the business plan and contribute to the overall success of the club.

Communicates the department goals, executes company programs, adheres to policies, and advocates for the member, the associate, and the company.

Works collaboratively with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets member expectations.

Be an Expert – maintains an in‑depth knowledge of floor and backroom operations, ensuring the produce area meets company standards for quality, inventory, production, sanitation, equipment usage, safety, and compliance.

Manages seasonality – adjusts item volume, product knowledge, processes, and prioritization across areas.

Collaborates with associates – ensures the team has resources, shares knowledge, and provides training.

Be a Techie – leverages digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; utilizes handheld technology for immediate business decisions and adopts new tools.

Be an Owner – drives business results, ensures operational excellence, plans for profitability, maintains a neat, clean, and safe work area, and upholds staffing, audit, and compliance standards.

Be a Talent Ambassador – teaches and trains the team, identifies potential, provides needed skills, encourages career growth, and sources new talent.

Develop and implement processes – collaborates with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners to meet business needs.

Demonstrate compliance – supports company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, assists management with ethical and compliance issues.

Lead and participate in teams – uses and shares resources, determines priorities, and provides feedback to ensure timelines and quality are achieved.

Compensation

Hourly wage range: $22.00 to $30.00* (actual rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location).

Additional compensation – premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances (based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed). Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 6 months experience working in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Complete all required job training and assessments within a prescribed time period upon receiving the position.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience supervising a team.

Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).
