Tax Manager, Cargill Global Tax & Customs
Full-time position within the Global Tax & Customs function. The Global Tax & Customs function employs approximately 200 professionals with headquarters in Wayzata, Minnesota. The International Group applies U.S. tax laws to Cargill's non-U.S. operations, coordinating U.S. tax calculations and forms, planning transactions, and developing tax positions to optimize international results. The International Group is seeking a Tax Manager responsible for tax compliance and planning projects, managing U.S. tax analysis and reporting for a defined geography or business unit, and identifying opportunities to improve compliance processes. The Tax Manager will collaborate with U.S. International Group members, the Global Tax & Customs Function, and finance professionals across business units. Responsibilities
Tax reporting and compliance: review earnings & profits and subpart F; review U.S. tax filings and notifications; identify and implement process improvements. Tax planning: help maximize foreign tax credit utilization and minimize subpart F; review M&A and trade flows to identify U.S. tax risks and opportunities. Tax training: provide ongoing training and development to tax function members on key tax rules. Tax controversies: assist with researching and responding to information requests from auditors. Qualifications
Required: Minimum of 5+ years of tax and accounting experience with focus on U.S. international tax; in-depth understanding of U.S. taxation of international operations. Willing and able to continue learning developing areas of tax laws. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. Superior analytical skills. Motivation to lead and develop a high-performing team. Preferred
