Position Overview:
Associate Podcast Producer – Ducks Unlimited Podcast. Memphis, TN (On-Site) / Part-Time. The Associate Producer will support the Ducks Unlimited podcast team by assisting with planning, scheduling, and administrative tasks while providing technical expertise for audio and video production. This role is ideal for a creative, self-motivated individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for storytelling. While the primary focus is on assisting productions, the Associate Producer will occasionally take the lead in running the show.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate podcast planning and scheduling, including guest outreach and calendar management.
Handle administrative tasks such as maintaining production timelines, organizing assets, and tracking deliverables.
Assist with technical setup for audio and video recordings, including cameras, microphones, and related equipment.
Operate and troubleshoot recording software and hardware during sessions.
Occasionally serve as the lead producer during recording sessions, ensuring smooth execution.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient workflows from pre-production through publishing.
Contribute creative ideas for content development and audience engagement.
Support post-production processes, including file management and editing.
Identify clips from productions for social media.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Technical knowledge of audio/video equipment, including cameras and microphones.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Logic Pro X.
Familiarity with supplementary tools such as Riverside.FM, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
Ability to troubleshoot common technical issues during recording sessions.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
Creative mindset with a proactive, self-starter attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in media production, communications, or a related field.
Previous experience in AV production or similar media roles.
