The Brookings Police Department is seeking a Deputy Chief of Police to support the Chief in shaping the department’s operations, strategy, and community engagement efforts. Requirements What You'll Do: • Lead & Supervise: Manage daily operations, oversee staff, and drive a culture of professionalism and integrity. • Community Engagement: Build strong partnerships with residents, businesses, and local organizations to ensure a safe, trusted police force. • Strategic Oversight: Guide crime reduction initiatives, enhance public safety, and promote data-driven decision-making. • Operations Management: Oversee patrols, investigations, training, and accreditation compliance. • Crisis Leadership: Provide support during emergency incidents and critical situations.
