FOB Sales Manager – Gainesville, VA
This position is responsible for managing our FOB customer accounts with an annual sales volume between 450,000 tons to 650,000+ tons depending on market demand conditions for the Northern Virginia, Fredericksburg, Culpeper, and Strasburg markets, providing exceptional customer service supporting the Company’s goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain existing customer relationships, meeting with all FOB customers: high volume 1x per month, medium volume 1x every other month, low volume 2x per year, or as otherwise needed.
Establish new customer relationships.
Work with VP of Project Management to set FOB price deals, track price discount deals, and communicate to customers and accounting for billing purposes.
Review monthly accounts receivable lists and follow up on any delinquent account collections.
Be the primary contact for TL-102A forms for FOB customers.
Visit plant sites, meet with operators regularly, and train/support them on sales techniques for FOB customers, PO’s, project identifiers, accounts, etc.
Maintain FOB order database.
Analyze weekly and monthly reports to maximize the marketplace.
Manage digital plant tickets for FOB customers.
Maintain knowledge of competitors’ prices, product quality, service levels, and relevance in markets.
Be primary champion for customers, shepherding all specialty FOB products through the sales lifecycle.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications
2 years’ sales and customer account service experience preferred.
Heavy Construction/Asphalt Industry experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong computer skills.
Knowledge of pertinent VDOT, local and private asphalt requirements and regulations preferred.
Primarily a day job, but able to work nights, weekends, and long days as necessary.
Must work well with a variety of personalities and levels within the organization.
Must be comfortable visiting job sites when necessary.
Valid Virginia driver’s license with a good driving record.
Ability to travel locally and throughout Virginia.

Tools and equipment regularly used include computer, fax machine, office supplies, copiers, telephone/switchboard, calculator, etc.
