Jr Account Executive
Reporting to: National Account Executive
Location: NYC Metro
Position Summary: As a Jr. Account Executive, you will facilitate the planning and execution of all John Hardy sales strategies as they apply to the independent/national customers. This person will manage the inventory in independent jewelers/major accounts to ensure they maintain the Brand visibility. The Jr. Account Executive will act as the liaison between the accounts and Regional Director and will build relationships with Account teams. In this role you will provide ongoing support to accounts and store captains you manage, and will plan, organize, and assist in the execution of all events, sales incentives and training in their region. The goal is to deliver annual sales and objectives through proper planning, sales strategy and inventory management.
Role Scope & Responsibilities:
Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients and partners by understanding their focus and anticipating their needs
Travel up to 65% to work directly with accounts
Attend trunk shows and events* to ensure successful execution of in-store events in order to deliver regional sales targets and brand messaging. *Support on weekends /evenings when needed
Ensure retailers understand and execute according to Company guidelines with regards to inventory assortments, product mix, product merchandising and display, marketing execution etc.
Drive productivity improvements in existing points of distribution; must be able to work effectively with independent accounts
Coordinate stock and sales analysis with partners
Develop new business through identification and penetration of top independent Luxury Retailers and major department stores
Identify and develop new client and top performers in Nationals and independents
Organize and conduct seasonal training in partnership with retailers to creatively ensure in-store team members are properly supported
Communicate company programs to retail partners ensuring engagement and support required to execute initiatives through to the end consumer
Complete all administrative duties accurately and expeditiously (i.e., budgeting, expenses, regional reporting, account specific reporting which include stock and sales plans, reimbursement etc.)
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree
Intrinsically motivated luxury sales professional with 2+ years of relevant industry experience
Ability to understand client needs and provide supporting data to support their business growth
Organizational skills and team player
Budget management
Sales Skills and account management
Proven track record in sales generation, managing the achievement of sales results and meeting profitability targets
Structured and analytical thinker capable of developing sales strategies, effectively communicating them to colleagues and retail partners, and driving them through to completion
Energetic, authentic, collaborative, and humble; ability to develop a climate of enthusiasm, teamwork and cooperation among colleagues and partners
Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
Strong oral and written communication skills
Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to lift up to 20lb boxes
Proficiency with Microsoft Office/strong excel skills required
