Citi Private Bank offers integrated and flexible escrow service solutions with global execution capabilities. Through an experienced and dedicated Private Bank escrow team, Citi can facilitate a broad range of transactions in escrow, including Mergers and Acquisitions, Litigation and Settlement, and Restructuring.

The Escrow Client Account Officer is an experienced professional who deals with most problems independently and has the latitude to solve complex problems. The role integrates in‑depth specialty knowledge with a solid understanding of industry standards and practices, and it requires strong attention to detail, time management, and the ability to interpret data and results. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required to exchange potentially complex or sensitive information with close contact to the business’s core activities.

Responsibilities

Ensure a quick and seamless escrow onboarding experience for clients, continually innovating to improve onboarding processes.

Onboard new escrows by completing client risk profiles and process relationship updates using Citi onboarding applications.

Partner with business stakeholders to ensure appropriate KYC documentation is collected for timely escrow account opening.

Liaise with downstream partners until requests are completed and maintain ongoing communication with the escrow product and development teams.

Verify that all KYC documentation received is current, accurate and complete.

Collaborate with KYC teams, account opening division, and other product partners to ensure expedient, efficient and seamless processing.

Provide the highest level of customer service and teamwork to banking teams and other internal partners.

Continuously innovate by analyzing onboarding processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation, complying with applicable laws and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment, and escalating and reporting control issues transparently.

Qualifications

Experience with KYC maker‑checker processes.

Escrow onboarding and operational experience preferred but not required.

Self‑motivated, proactive and eager to improve existing processes.

Extremely detail oriented.

Strong team player with the ability to multi‑task, prioritize and work well under pressure.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Education

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
