Cloud Solutions Expert Federal (Azure, AWS, AI)
United Global Technologies -Austin, TX, United States
Exploration of AWS and Azure for AI resources. Assist with cloud environment translation. Focus on AI modeling and disaster recovery in the cloud. The Azure Cloud Solutions Expert will evaluate existing enterprise IT systems, define a comprehensive
“As-Is” architecture , and develop a
“To-Be” Azure cloud roadmap
that supports scalable, secure, and cost-efficient growth. This role will quantify the benefits of Azure expansion, including business agility, operational efficiency, security compliance, and cost optimization. The candidate will serve as a strategic advisor for cloud adoption, migration, and optimization, guiding leadership on technology investments and justifying the growth of Azure services. Key Responsibilities 1. Assessment of Current Environment Conduct detailed
discovery sessions
with stakeholders to understand current infrastructure, applications, and workloads. Develop a
comprehensive “As-Is” architecture document : Servers, storage, and compute resources Application dependencies and integrations Security and compliance posture Licensing, cost, and performance metrics Identify bottlenecks, risks, and underutilized resources. Design
future-state (“To-Be”) Azure architecture
based on business needs, scalability, and best practices. Recommend
Azure services and resources : compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring, AI/ML, and hybrid cloud solutions. Develop
migration strategies
(lift-and-shift, replatform, refactor) for applications and workloads. Define
resiliency, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies
in Azure. 3. Justification & Business Case for Azure Growth Analyze the
cost vs benefit
of expanding Azure services, including TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) and ROI. Present
scalability benefits : handling increased workloads, on-demand provisioning, and global availability. Highlight
security and compliance advantages : Azure security tools, compliance certifications (ISO, SOC, GDPR). Align cloud growth with
business objectives , including digital transformation, innovation initiatives, and operational efficiency. Define
Azure governance model : resource groups, subscriptions, RBAC, naming conventions, tagging, and monitoring. Establish
cloud usage policies : budgeting, resource provisioning, autoscaling, decommissioning unused resources. Recommend
cost management strategies
using Azure Cost Management + billing reports. 5. Stakeholder Communication Collaborate with
IT teams, DevOps, security, and business units
to align cloud strategies. Present findings, architecture diagrams, and recommendations to
executive leadership . Provide
documentation, metrics, and dashboards
to track adoption and ROI. Required Skills & Qualifications Extensive hands-on experience with
Microsoft Azure
(compute, networking, storage, security, monitoring, governance). Proven experience performing
cloud assessments and migrations
for enterprise environments. Strong
architecture skills : creating As-Is / To-Be diagrams and roadmaps. Experience building
business cases and financial justification
for cloud adoption and growth. Knowledge of
IT infrastructure, application stacks, and enterprise architecture frameworks
