About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Manager - Global Market Access and Value Strategy to join our Health Economics and Reimbursement (HE&R) Team. As an individual contributor, you will partner with product core teams to develop value propositions and support global integrated evidence plans (IEP) for new product development (NPD) and commercial products within the Medical Product Division (MPD). In addition, you will review and update value propositions on a regular basis to ensure current market information (e.g., competition, regulations and policy, product strategy) is being considered.
This is a remote position, and you can work from home in most locations within the United States.
Responsibilities
Support the development, prioritization, and dissemination of the IEP; collaborate cross-functionally and across the HE&R function to ensure integration and execution of the global evidence needs within the IEP
Collaborate cross-functionally to develop value propositions that support the product strategy and inform the IEP
Partner with the Heath Economic Outcomes Research (HEOR) team to conduct analysis and research
Drive and maintain the Health Economics and Reimbursement strategy in collaboration with other Heath Economic and Reimbursement partners, Product Specialists, Strategic Marketing (Product and Provider), Clinical, and Regulatory
Partner with Clinical for inclusion of HE&R endpoints and needs within Clinical Study Design
Translate IEP into high level global Value Dossier (including high level messaging, etc.) to tell the "Value Story" for MPD products
Partner with Business, Product Management, and Marketing in opportunity assessment and roadmap development
Collaborate to create health economic tools that show customers the impact Gore's products could have on their patients, facility or healthcare system
Focus on products and associated disease states, using knowledge of the competitive product landscape
Global strategic focus with high-level tactical deliverables, including IEP and global Value Dossier
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years experience working in the delivery and/or administration of healthcare or in the medical device industry
In-depth knowledge and understanding of the healthcare industry, healthcare systems, and hospital financial systems
Ability to elicit and interpret customers' goals, needs, and priorities and creatively address them with medical products, evidence, and programs
Ability to identify evidence gaps, develop a plan for closing those gaps, and incorporate this plan into global product strategies
Highly effective interpersonal skills, including developing relationships at all levels in an organization and directly influencing business objectives
Strategic thinking and execution
Proven success in equally balancing strategy and execution
Ability to apply global policies (e.g., government policy, etc.) to product access strategies
Ability to travel 30%
Desired Qualifications
Advanced degree in health economics, health policy, healthcare administration, health services research, public health, or a related discipline; experience in vascular or cardiovascular specialties
Knowledgeable and experienced with Medicare policies and processes, including an in-depth understanding of the Physician Fee Schedule (PFS), the Outpatient Payment System (OPPS), the Inpatient Payment System (IPPS), Two-Midnight Rule, Hospital Acquired Conditions (HAC) Reduction Production Program, Hospital Readmission Reduction Program (HRRP), Hospital Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Program, and the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS)
Experience in analyzing large data set and applying data and policy insights to draw substantiated conclusions regarding health economics, market size, targeting and opportunity assessment
Experience with aortic medical devices
This role requires ongoing access to U.S. hospitals and compliance with facility-specific access policies (which may include a requirement to provide proof that you are fully vaccinated with one of the COVID-19 vaccines), vendor credentialing requirements including drug screening, background checks, immunization and training.
This position offers a remote work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed. Eligibility is dependent on the responsibilities of the role and business needs, and the Associate must agree to comply with Gore's work arrangement policies.
