M-F, 8am - 5pm
Travel:
1–5% (DFW office)
Position Overview The Electrical CAD Technician supports technical teams of detailers, designers, and engineers by producing high-quality computer-aided drafting and design solutions. This role assists in the creation and revision of engineering drawings and documentation in accordance with company, client, and discipline-specific drafting standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing and revising engineering drawings of basic components based on sketches, layouts, or marked‑up designs
Prepare and revise plot drawings as needed
Support drafting design and documentation efforts across multiple projects
Adhere to company, client, and discipline‑specific drafting standards and procedures
Utilize standard drafting and detailing software tools
Participate in continuous drafting detail improvement initiatives
Research project design concerns and recommend drafting or design solutions
Perform additional duties as assigned
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Job Requirements
Associate’s Degree in CADD or Drafting (required)
This position is
not open to candidates with ABET‑accredited engineering bachelor’s degrees .
Minimum of 1 year of relevant drafting or CAD experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Demonstrated leadership potential
Self‑motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow within the field
Work Authorization Candidates must be
legally authorized to work permanently
in the country where this position is located (no time limitations, restrictions, or sponsorship requirements).
