The Event Sales Coordinator will market, sell, and coordinate event spaces across our national network of clubs in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Washington DC. The incumbent will handle customer inquiries, oversee the collection and coordination of all event information and resources, and be responsible for account management, sales prospecting, and business development.
Responsibilities
Account management, business development, market research, sales prospecting, public relations, customer relationship management, event planning and coordination, logistics oversight, revenue management, and communications.
Prepare proposals for clients and maintain well-organized event records.
Build and maintain working relationships with internal and external partners, leveraging these relationships to deliver innovative and memorable events.
Engage with active members of the hospitality and event planning industries, pursuing new market opportunities to increase event sales.
Meet with clients regularly, conduct tours of the event facility, and provide accurate and timely information to clients, vendors, and meeting planners.
Focus on improving customer satisfaction to foster customer loyalty and ensure a positive event experience.
Qualifications
3 to 5 years of experience in organizing and managing events, including corporate meetings, trainings, luncheons, weddings, and other special occasions (strongly preferred).
Understanding of market segments, competitor strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
Strong negotiation skills and ability to interpret contracts.
High-energy, creative, with excellent customer service and sales skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree and/or Certified Meeting Planner (CMP) certification preferred.
