Job Summary Ascendance is looking for a full-time, customer-oriented Truck Sales Account Manager.
A Truck Sales Account Manager builds, maintains, and grows relationships with current and new clients through exceptional customer service.
The successful team member has previous sales experience in the transportation industry or a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify and engage prospective truck‑fleets, and provide help or direction to any customer that can benefit from our services.
Explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
Describe all optional equipment, bodies and rigging available for customer purchase.
Perform high‑quality, professional, and knowledgeable presentation and demonstration of medium‑duty, heavy‑duty, and severe service trucks.
Overcome objections, close sales, and perform all other steps of the sales process in accordance with company standards.
Evaluate customer needs over emotional selling.
Assist customers in spec’ing by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
Build strong rapport and life‑long relationships with customers.
Report objectives, planned activities, reviews, and analyses to the Sales Director.
Actively use a Customer Management System (CRM).
Basic Qualifications
Proven ability to meet sales quotas.
Self‑motivated with a high level of integrity.
Professional demeanor while negotiating pricing.
Ability to earn majority of compensation through commissions, once established.
Outgoing with a friendly personality, especially while handling objections & negotiating pricing.
Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday.
Licenses / Education / Training
Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing or similar degree.
Years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
At least one year of sales experience, preferably in the transportation industry.
CDL or willing to obtain a CDL within the first year of employment.
