as a Primary Care Sales Consultant. This role is accountable for implementing sales strategies for an approved Cardiorenal product and driving launch activities for a menopause product in the Franklin, TN metro area. You will report to the CVR Area General Manager and work closely with cross‑functional partners.
Purpose Accountable for implementing sales strategies for approved Cardiorenal and menopause products, driving demand, clinical education, and partnership development with primary care physicians in community settings.
Your Tasks & Responsibilities
Build and develop professional relationships with primary care, pharmacy staff, and other assigned customers.
Drive appropriate utilization of approved CV and menopause products, collaborating with the Customer Squad to generate pull‑through within local payers and community HCPs.
Leverage expertise in diabetes, menopause, and cardiovascular marketplace to anticipate and manage business opportunities and challenges.
Provide relevant insight to commercial colleagues for strategic and tactical planning.
Develop and implement effective customer‑specific business plans, communicating insights to internal stakeholders.
Prioritize time to ensure optimal coverage of physician specialists based on opportunity.
Understand assigned customers’ product and business needs, complying with Bayer compliance standards.
Anticipate barriers to achievement, proposing responsible solutions.
Handle customer objections and exceed expectations, sharing expertise in a training capacity as needed.
Leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance and continuously improve proficiency.
Adhere to pharmaceutical industry guidelines, regulations, and ethical standards in daily work.
Who You Are Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or 10 years of relevant sales experience in competitive landscapes.
Proven track record of consistent high performance in sales or relevant experience.
Proven track record in developing long‑standing customer relationships.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
Leadership and compliance with ethics and company policies.
Ability to meet customer credentialing and safety requirements.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree.
5+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
In‑depth knowledge of cardiovascular, diabetes, or menopause disease states.
Product launch experience.
Strong analytical and computer capabilities.
Virtual sales experience.
Strong local HCP relationships and understanding of local market.
Compensation Salaries range from $120,960.00 to $181,440.00, with potential bonus or commission. Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, and more.
