Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Join our team as an Apartment Maintenance Technician and contribute to the upkeep and improvement of residential communities. This role involves completing work orders and punch outs for various properties within a 10-mile radius, focusing on carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, with an hour lunch break, and includes a rotating on-call duty every 6 weeks.
Responsibilities
Complete work orders and punch outs for residential communities.
Perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance tasks.
Conduct preventative maintenance and respond to service calls.
Travel to different properties within a 10-mile radius to execute tasks.
Communicate effectively and maintain patience while working in occupied units.
Use a smartphone or tablet for work order management.
Essential Skills
Basic mechanical aptitude in residential plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents.
Valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
Ownership of basic hand tools and power tools.
Willingness to use personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement available).
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in affordable housing is a plus.
HVAC or Trades Certification is advantageous.
Familiarity with work order software is desirable.
Residing close to Columbus is preferred.
Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of COLUMBUS, OH.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40000.00 - $45000.00/yr.
