Area Sales Director - Business Development IT Services – Healthcare and Life Sciences

Responsibilities

  • Create strategic roadmap to drive growth within the account/portfolio and execute that plan to drive incremental revenue, manage customer negotiations, and drive pricing discussions.
  • Must have sold Cybersecurity / Digital / Application / IoT / Engineering products and services.
  • Engage with horizontal and solution teams to proactively identify improvement/opportunity areas – selling cross‑business‑unit solutions to the client.
  • Expand HCL's footprint by coming up with creative solutions that help solve business problems.
  • 7‑19+ years’ experience in selling and leading complex and transformation programs.
  • Hands‑on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.
  • Proven record of rapidly scaling up revenues consistently and achieving year‑over‑year growth.
  • Track record of interacting with and building relationships with C‑level client contacts.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple activities in a very dynamic, changing environment.
  • Account financial management, lead generation, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Sold services to Retail / CPG vertical or clients.
  • Will manage existing client relationships, own existing services, and build a diverse portfolio through the opportunity management cycle: Prospect‑Evaluate‑Propose‑Close.
  • Account has aggressive growth potential through cross‑sell and upsell, which the incumbent must drive.
  • Own the strategic agenda for that account and create and manage executive‑level connects between the customer and HCL executive teams.

Qualifications

  • 7‑19+ years’ experience in selling and leading complex and transformation programs.
  • Hands‑on experience with proposal creation and leading proposal presentations.
  • Proven record of rapidly scaling up revenues consistently and achieving year‑over‑year growth.
  • Track record of interacting with and building relationships with C‑level client contacts.
