divh2Sports Reporter/h2pThe Sports Reporter is responsible for researching, writing, capturing visual content and editing stories for multiple platforms./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliProducing and presenting sports reports for all platforms/liliEnsuring that all sports content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality/liliWriting and delivering sports stories in a clear and concise manner/liliAssisting in writing, copy editing, researching and coordinating sports programming and other content/liliResponding to breaking sports events and other urgent newsroom situations as required/liliWorking closely with the sports team to develop comprehensive sports coverage/liliParticipating in promotional activities including public appearances/liliPerforming special projects and other duties as assigned/liliShooting video for sports reports/liliSetting up, composing and executing video shots/liliMaintaining video equipment/liliEditing video clips for television broadcasts and eMedia content/liliWriting stories for the website and other eMedia platforms/liliInteracting with viewers and users on social media sites/li/ulpRequirements and skills include:/pulliBachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience/liliComprehensive knowledge of sports and sports related activities/liliFluency in English/liliExcellent communication skills, both oral and written/liliMinimum five years experience in sports reporting or anchoring (More or less depending on market size)/liliSuperior on-air presence/liliExperience guiding, directing and motivating others/liliAbility to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills/liliProficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment/liliAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously/liliAbility to effectively listen to fully understand problems and communicate with a team to shape a solution/liliValid drivers license with a good driving record/liliFlexibility to work any shift/li/ul/div
