The best-trained drivers in the business work for us because we devote a significant amount of resources, training, and development to our employees./ppA Driver in Training will be trained by our staff to obtain appropriate Driver endorsement(s), where applicable, and to learn our Company policies and procedures. Upon successful completion of the training program all necessary requirements for the position, the Driver In Training will be placed in Non-CDL Driver role./ppstrongWe offer:/strong/pulliA Flexible Schedule/liliCompetitive Rates/liliCareer Opportunities/liliNo Nights or Weekends/liliSummers Off, but with an opportunity to work summers in some locations/li/ulpstrongResponsibilities Include:/strong/pulliProvides safe and reliable transportation service by operating a school bus or other location specific vehicle with a fixed or changing route./liliExhibits the highest ethical best practices and personal integrity; Shares concerns about suspicious or inappropriate behavior with their supervisor or manager./liliReports to duty on time and maintains route on time but in a safe manner./liliPhysically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency./liliImmediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy./liliFollows Company Policy around student and/or passenger management./liliInforms all appropriate personnel of problems/procedures./liliPresents a neat and professional personal appearance at all times./liliCompletes all required paperwork (including route change sheets, time cards, vehicle repair requests) and submits to the appropriate authority in a timely manner./liliMaintains a cooperative attitude with fellow employees, supervisors, customers, and passengers while always promoting company goodwill./liliSafely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency equipment./liliOther duties as assigned./liliAdditional responsibilities for our Paratransit Drivers may apply per location./li/ulpstrongQualifications/strong/ppstrongRequirements Include:/strong/pulliMust be at least 21 years of age; for Tennessee School Bus Drivers, must be at least 25 years of age per state law./liliMust possess, or be able to obtain and maintain, all valid applicable state license and other required certifications to operate company vehicles./liliMust meet physical and medical requirements and pass substance abuse screening./liliMust satisfactorily complete and pass all training./liliMust practice defensive driving at all times and avoid vehicular and industrial accidents by practicing safe driving and work habits./liliCompliance with all applicable federal, state, county, district, and contract specific Driver requirements./li/ul/div
