This position assumes the responsibility of monitoring and optimization of all production process variables, ensuring that all production equipment is operating at peak reliability and efficiency, and acquiring and storing data./ppResponsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:/pulliActively supports Health, Environment, and Safety processes by accomplishing daily activities within applicable regulations and policies, carrying out duties in an environmentally conscious manner, following safe operating practices as described in the Control of Work standard, maintaining a safe working environment, and being prepared to respond to an environmental or safety event./liliOperates, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains oil and gas production equipment./liliPartners with Integrated Operations Center to optimize and troubleshoot production equipment and wells./liliPerform duties associated with oil and gas producing operations; including but not limited to production facilities, production wells, water disposal and compressors./liliOptimizing artificial lift Systems that include gas lift, ESP, rod pump, and plunger./liliOperate VRU and gas blanket systems./liliOperate transfer pumps (centrifugal and gear pumps)./liliTesting wells and safety devices./liliAcquires fluid level information./liliOperates and monitors of SCADA./liliPartners with other employees, and contractors to ensure that all equipment is operating at peak efficiency./liliUtilizes Computerized Maintenance Management System to create work orders for inventory and work planning/prioritization./liliAssures all work performed adheres to Chevrons Operational Excellence standards and regulatory requirements./liliRecords keeping and data input./liliOther duties as assigned./li/ulpRequired Qualifications:/pulliA minimum of 2 years current related experience in oil and gas, or related petrochemical industries./liliWork schedule for the position will be a 8/6 rotational; ability and willingness to work nightshift, weekends and holidays of assigned work schedule and overtime based on workload./liliHigh School Diploma or equivalent./liliValid Drivers License./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliAssociates degree in petroleum or Process Technology or related technology discipline./liliThree years current related experience in oil and gas, or related petrochemical industries./liliFamiliarity with reliability efforts for a variety of safety, environmental and production related issues./liliAbility to perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of production and facility equipment./liliFamiliar with pneumatic/electronic instrumentation./liliBasic knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), CMMS, SCADA, and an aptitude for learning new software packages./liliCapable of simultaneously performing multiple tasks with limited supervision./liliAbility to work effectively and cooperatively with a diverse team of coworkers, contractors, and internal and external customers./liliAbility to manage time effectively, and work with minimal supervision./li/ulpRelocation may be considered.
