This entry-level position resides in the Institutional Quality (IQPA-IQ) group and reports to the IQPA-IQ Receipt Inspection and Verifications Leader. The selected candidates primary responsibility will be to ensure product quality through performance of receipt inspections. These receipt inspections require planning, performing, and reporting/presenting of results. Receipt inspections are performed in accordance with customer specified criteria and in accordance with nuclear facility (NQA-1) and weapons related (DOE/NNSA NAP-24) requirements in order to ensure that specified technical and quality requirements are met. Other duties will include; providing assistance to LANL customer organizations on quality assurance issues and activities, and supporting the supply chain quality programs e.g., receipt inspection, suspect/counterfeit, and supplier evaluation./ppWhat You Need/ppMinimum Job Requirements:/pulliBasic knowledge and experience of 10 CFR 830 Subpart A, DOE Order 414.1D, national consensus standard ASME NQA-1-2008/ASME NQA-1a-2009 Addenda, NAP-401.1, and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Regulatory Guide Series or equivalent./liliBasic knowledge and experience with quality concepts and principles and how these are applied./liliExperience with inspection principles and practices./liliExperience in performing detailed reviews of quality documentation to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory defined requirements./liliStrong oral and written communication skills and demonstrated experience interacting and effectively communicating with all levels of customers and management./liliExperience in preparing and presenting quality assurance reports./liliExperienced in effective decision-making and risk management regarding complex technical issues./li/ulpEducation/Experience:/pulliPosition requires an Associates Degree in a relevant field or combination of technical certification and 2 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation./li/ulpDesired Qualifications:/pulliExperience in the preparation of QA procedures for review, approval, and issues in accordance with requirements and/or standards./liliPrevious experience as a qualified receipt inspector./liliExperience leading and supporting quality assessments, surveillances, and/or audits./li/ulpEssential Job Functions (can perform with or without reasonable accommodation):/pulliThis position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bending, twisting, kneeling, working on your feet, working outdoors, working in a warehouse environment, working in radiation buffer areas, and ability to perform visual inspections using corrected or non-corrected vision./li/ulpWork Environment:/pulliWorking in a noisy environment; Work near sources of ionizing/non-ionizing radiation./li/ulpWork Location:/ppThe work location for this position is onsite and located in Los Alamos, NM.
