We are laying the groundwork for intuitive, high-dimensional, and bidirectional interfaces between brains and machines, with the goal of helping people challenged by a variety of neurological disorders and conditions. Our team consists of scientists and engineers, working closely together to define the engineering requirements for these future products. As a Neuroengineer on this team, you will contribute across a wide range of projects, from designing novel experimental preparations, to interpreting neural signals and behavioral data, to developing novel BCI paradigms. Successful candidates will be highly adaptable, able to deploy their core technical and creative skills to tackle a wide range of problems, and have a keen sense of urgency./ppJob Description and Responsibilities:/pulliDesign, execute, interpret, and communicate the results of neural recording and stimulation experiments/liliDesign computational models of and develop encoding strategies for electrical stimulation/liliIntegrate machine vision algorithms to design end-to-end solutions for prosthetic vision/liliRun and support research sessions in coordination with software engineers, field engineers, and animal specialists/liliPresent results in a collaborative setting/li/ulpRequired Qualifications:/pulliEvidence of exceptional ability in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, machine learning, or a related field/lili4+ years of academic or industry experience/liliA strong understanding of the scientific method and engineering first principles/liliFluency with Python for data analysis/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliExperience with modern statistical inference and machine learning, including for machine vision applications/liliExperience with neural stimulation/liliExperience modeling the influence of electrical stimulation on neural activity, for example using the NEURON modeling environment/liliExperience modeling electric fields using finite element modeling (FEM)/liliExperience building and programming experimental instrumentation/liliExperience with in-vivo electrophysiology, awake behaving recordings, and in particular, closed-loop brain-computer interface/li/ulpExpected Compensation:/ppThe anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the following range. Your actual base pay will be determined by your job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. We also believe in aligning our employees success with the companys long-term growth.
