As part of our team, your opportunities are limitless./ppByers Engineering, a MasTec company, is seeking a full-time qualified Make Ready Fielder/Surveyor to join our telecommunications team. In this role, you will conduct field assessments, surveys, and make-ready evaluations for utility pole attachments and network expansions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in identifying conflicts, documenting conditions, and recommending solutions to ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This position involves office, travel and outdoor work, offering the opportunity to work on diverse projects in a collaborative environment./ph3Essential Duties and Responsibilities/h3ulliOSP Fielder will complete site visits within given market/liliTake legible field notes for the design of construction drawings in aerial, buried, underground, and building applications/liliAnalyze work site and design requests then determine scope of work to be completed/liliDeliver projects within timeline and ensure quality of work completed/liliCollaborate with in-house MRE Engineering Team to implement quality assurance practices to maintain consistent production quality throughout the project/liliInteract with internal and external customers- represent Byers/MasTec and our client in a professional manner/liliFollow very specific and detailed procedures already implemented while remaining flexible enough to readily adapt to changing standards and procedures without notice/liliAdhere to all company safety practices and policies/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pDesired Skills:/pulliUnderstanding of Telecom, Fiber, and Outside Plant required/liliRelevant experience with utilities, cabling, or construction also considered/liliExcellent communication for daily interaction with various teams/liliAbove average penmanship for hand-drawn field notes/liliKnowledge of engineering tools including AutoCAD, PRS, OCalc, 3-GIS, or any similar GIS/KMZ platforms./liliKnowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, and Dropbox)/liliGeneral understanding of joint use agreements and joint use management software such as NJUNS, SPAN, ALDEN ONE, etc./li/ulpQualifications:/pulliHigh school diploma and completed courses from technical school or community college preferred, but not required/liliMust be authorized to work in the U.S./liliQualify on pre-employment screening, including non-negligent driving record/liliValid drivers license and reliable transportation required/liliWilling to be trained and adapt to changing industry trends- continue education for Engineering design and best practices/li/ulh3Work Environment/h3pWork schedule to match hours of our customer and meet deadlines. Must be local as this role requires outdoor site visits in various weather conditions. Field location - Central
