divh2Security Investigations Specialist I/h2pThe Security Investigations Specialist I serves as an investigative assistant for the Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DS), providing support and assistance in the establishment and implementation of security policy and programs. The Security Investigations Specialist I receives direct government oversight, assignments, and direction from DS Management. The physical work location is within the DS offices at, and duty tour will be within the Department of States core business hours, although depending on the mission, the Specialist may be required to work under alternative schedules for periods of time./ppPrimary Responsibilities:/pulliPrepare routine status reports, briefing presentations, and special projects for review./liliTrack projects via work breakdown structures./liliPrepare basic charts, tables, graphs, and diagrams to assist in tracking and reporting program activities./liliAssist in gathering basic technical and programmatic input to support client briefings, status reports, and deliverable presentation./liliAssist in counterintelligence investigative analysis and project support for the administration and execution of the customers mission as well as related activities to support the availability, reliability and integrity of the Departments counterintelligence investigations./liliProvide professional support to the Department of States program for the protection of Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). This includes, but is not limited to, supporting periodic security reviews (PSRs), SCI and collateral training, and processing personnel for access to SCI./liliSupport the Division Manager and members of the team in basic, routine office administration, personnel, financial, database administration, and project requirements./liliSupplemental hours are not anticipated for this position, and regular telework is not authorized; however, situational teleworking may be authorized according to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidance./li/ulpSupervisory Responsibilities:/pulliSupervisory responsibilities are not anticipated./li/ulpEducation and/or Experience:/pulliMinimum of three years professional experience in a related field./liliExperience drafting and editing U.S. government reports and documents./liliTraining may be considered, but written approval must be provided in advance by the Contracting Officers Representative./li/ulpCertificates, Licenses, Registrations: N/A/ppSecurity Clearance:/pulliTOP SECRET Clearance Level Required./liliMust have a current US Government TOP SECRET Personnel Security Clearance with authorized access to SCI information./liliMust be a U.S. Citizen./li/ulpPhysical Demands:/ppThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
