divh2Shipping Receiving Clerk/h2pThe Shipping Receiving Clerk examines shipment contents and compares with records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy. The Shipping Receiving Clerk records shipment data such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes and supports factory operations by receiving incoming material, counting and inventorying items, and receiving and checking the contents of packages against packing lists and manifests./ppEssential Functions:/pulliPrepare documents such as bills of lading/liliCorrespond with order management as well as factory representatives to rectify problems so that customer needs dates can be met/liliPack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for transport/liliContact carrier representatives to make transport arrangements/liliOrganize distribution and shipping of merchandise: Make necessary verifications against documents, prepare the merchandise, move merchandise to the appropriate area, and handle customer pick-ups/liliAssign, tag, and store received inventory to proper location/liliReceive parts to stock that have come in from external suppliers/liliEnsure products are properly packed and labeled/liliMaintain safe and clean working area/liliAny other task assigned by supervisor or management/li/ulpNon-Essential Functions:/pulliN/A/li/ulpMinimum Qualifications:/pulliExperience: 6 months or more of Shipping and Receiving experience/liliKnowledge: Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes; Knowledge of 5S principles including the ability to apply them to the work environment; Knowledge of procedures for safely lifting and/or moving packages up to 50 pounds in weight/liliSkills/Abilities: Detail and data orientation; Effective process evaluation and problem solving skills; Ability to multi task in a rapidly changing environment; Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal customers; Ability to accurately count and identify parts and verify with paper work; Ability to work well in a team setting and under immediate supervision/liliEducation/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliWorking knowledge of Microsoft office/liliFamiliarity with government shipping regulations (ITNs, WAWF)/liliWorking knowledge of an ERP system, preferably Oracle/lili1-3 years of experience in a regulated environment/li/ulpWorking Conditions:/pulliWorking conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment/liliManufacturing operations may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps and any other required PPE/liliMay be exposed to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, confined spaces, dust or fumes/liliSubject to On-call duty/liliStanding: 90% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task/liliSitting: 10% *percentage is approximate and may vary depending on work task/liliLifting (in pounds): up to 50 pounds/liliPushing (in pounds): up to 50 pounds/liliMental/Visual: use of computer/liliWorkspace: work bench/li/ulpCrane Co. reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.
