This position will be responsible for the direct supervision of the Field Technicians. Including respirators, skin, face, hand and foot protection in a multiple number of combinations/liliWork in various temperatures indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions/liliWork in atmospheres and locations with the potential for exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some of which may be hazardous, toxic, or corrosive/liliWork in potentially elevated noise levels, confined spaces, including lifting in areas of low clearance/liliWork at elevations including working from ladders and scaffolding/liliAssist in field sampling activities and calibration of meters/liliClimb ladders, scaffolding and into and out of trucks, tanks, and various other containers/liliWork extended ( 8 hrs.) time periods/liliAttend all compliance and safety update meetings/liliInspect drums for container integrity and regulatory compliance/liliSafe loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste/liliConduct waste stream sampling and profiling as necessary/liliComplete associated paperwork, such as worksheets, vehicle inspections, equipment inspections and permits/liliFollow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules/liliSafely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements/liliSafely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures/liliObserve all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines/liliPerform other duties as assigned/liliAbility to be on call for emergency response/liliBy position, site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and the handling of hazardous materials/liliBy position, may perform lead responsibilities/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pRequired Qualifications:/pulliPrevious experience in a physically intensive role/liliPrevious experience in a supervisory, crew lead or leadership role/liliAbility to travel for extended periods of time, overnight/liliAbility to be on-call for emergency response/liliValid Drivers license/liliPerform physical functions per job requirements/liliSuccessfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position/liliPer OSHAs Respiratory Protection standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards./li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliPrevious heavy equipment experience (bobcats, excavators, etc)/liliPrevious environmental and/or industrial experience (ie. site remediation, spill response, hydro blasting, vacuum truck, tank cleaning, refinery-based work)/liliCommercial driver license/li/ulpClean Harbors is an equal opportunity employer.
