divh2Maintenance Assistant/h2pThe purpose of this position is to plan, organize, develop and assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in accordance with the current local, state, and federal standards, guidelines and regulations, and as directed by the Administrator to assure that the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner./ppQualifications:/pulliCommunication skills and active listening/liliPosition may require unscheduled overtime, weekend work if needed/liliMust be willing to work flexible hours/liliMust have painting and drywall experience/liliMust have electric and plumbing experience/liliModerate to heavy physical effort including lifting up to 65 pounds is required/liliFrequent walking or standing required/li/ulpPosition Summary/Duties:/pulliAssist with completing regular rounds of the facility to check all maintenance zones to ensure the quality control and safety, health and welfare of patients, employees, families, visitors in the facility, and correct or report equipment failure or damage to the Administrator immediately./liliAssist with checking air conditioning and heating units on roof and in patients rooms, office, and other rooms in the facility/liliAssist with checking pup station and breaker panels, washers, and dryers in laundry/liliAssist with making daily repairs as needed/liliAssist with checking water and boiler temperatures, dietary cooking equipment, cooling equipment, public address systems, fire extinguishers and alarms, fire doors, and electrical outlets./liliAssist with the inspection of storage rooms, work rooms, utility and janitorial closets for up-keep, supply, control and safety./liliCoordinates work of maintenance department with other department functions so as not to interrupt patient care or normal business functions./liliAble to be on call for emergencies./liliRuns errands, handles incoming and outgoing freight, lifts and moves heavy furniture and equipment, and other miscellaneous duties as directed by the administrator./liliResponsible for the care, maintenance and repairs of institutional property, equipment and grounds as directed by the administrator./liliRegular inspection of property and equipment for compliance with safety regulations./liliPerform other duties as assigned from time to time./li/ulpExperience: Previous maintenance experience preferred./ppWhat we offer:/pulliFull health, dental, vision and life insurance/liliVacation/paid time off/holiday pay
