Works from blueprints and sketches to create or modify tools, dies, jigs and molds. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager./ppDuties

Responsibilities Information:/pulliProduces new tooling to print specifications as well as repair existing tooling/liliServices and repairs notching, single hit and progressive dies/liliServices tooling throughout plant/liliExercise good housekeeping in work area/liliObserve good safety practices/liliPerforms other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader/li/ulpNecessary Skills:/pulliRead micrometer, venires, indicators, and have a working knowledge of trigonometry/liliUnderstand simple and complex drawings and interpret geometric tolerances/liliExperience with manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, MIG

TIG welding./liliProficient in Imperial and Metric measurements/liliAbility to work from engineering sketches and/or examples to fabricate tooling and fixturing/li/ulpAdditional Job Details:/ppEducation
