We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our growing Practice Administration/Billing team. This role combines all aspects of billing, insurance verification, authorizations, and accounts receivable follow-up. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a collaborative environment./ppResponsibilities:/pulliReview and process patient claims and invoices accurately and in a timely manner./liliVerify insurance eligibility and benefits; obtain and track authorizations/pre-certifications as required by payers./liliResolve billing issues, denials, and underpayments by following up with insurance companies, patients, and internal staff./liliPrepare and send appeals when claims are denied or underpaid./liliMaintain complete and accurate patient records, including demographic, insurance, and authorization information./liliPost payments and adjustments; monitor accounts receivable and ensure balances are collected efficiently./liliCommunicate coverage details, patient responsibilities, and financial agreements clearly with patients./liliProtect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations./liliCollaborate with the billing, clinical, and front desk teams to ensure seamless revenue cycle operations./liliAttend training sessions, webinars, and team meetings as required./li/ulpRequirements:/pulliHigh school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred)./lili2+ years of experience in medical billing, AR, or insurance verification./liliWorking knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes and insurance reimbursement processes./liliProficiency in billing software, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel required); Prompt EMR experience is a plus./liliStrong communication, organizational, and analytical skills./liliAbility to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity./liliHigh attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation./li/ulpBenefits:/pulliCompetitive pay based on experience/liliMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance/lili401K with company match/liliAccess to all Performance Optimal Health facilities/liliInternal and external discounts/liliMentorship and growth potential within the organization/liliFun, collaborative atmosphere/li/ul/div
