The candidate will be a newsroom leader and primary presenter of news stories, delivering clear, engaging, and meaningful content for our newscasts, website, and CTV App./ppResponsibilities:/pulliPresents news stories and other content for linear, digital, CTV App, and social./liliWrites and produces content for linear, digital, CTV App, and social./liliEnsures that all content meets company standards for journalistic integrity and production quality./liliWrites and delivers news stories clearly and concisely./liliStrong writer, copy editor, and researcher./liliActs as a field reporter or field anchor as assigned./liliResponds to breaking news and other urgent newsroom situations as required./liliParticipates in promotional activities, including public appearances./liliPerforms special projects and other duties as assigned./liliEdits video clips as assigned./liliInteracts with viewers/users on social media sites./li/ulpRequirements
Skills:/pulliBachelors degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience./liliFluency in English./liliExcellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to ad lib when required./liliMinimum five years experience in news reporting or anchoring./liliSuperior on-air presence./liliExcellent news judgment with an expansive knowledge of local and national current events, history, newsmakers, and issues./liliExperience guiding, directing, and motivating others./liliAn ability to identify the developmental needs of others and to coach, mentor, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills./liliProficiency with all newsroom technology, including computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, and other office equipment./liliAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously./liliAn ability to effectively listen to fully understand problems and communicate with a team to shape a solution./liliValid drivers license with a good driving record./li/ul/div
