divh2Outside Machinists At Norfolk Naval Shipyard/h2pWe have an exciting opportunity for Outside Machinists at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth, Virginia with one of our Clients in the Ship Repair Industry./ph3Essential Duties And Responsibilities/h3pMust hold active security clearance/ppMust have 6 or more years of experience as a marine outside machinist/ppDry dock experience on shafts, rudders, stabilizers and propellers is preferred./ppDisassembles of various types of equipment and machinery common to maritime vessels and/or general industry including but not limited to pumps, valves, winches, gear boxes./ppAssist in determining repairs and required to bring equipment to rebuild status./ppMust be able to lift, carry and transport heavy equipment and boxes/ppExperience with valve overhaul and hull inserts/ppInstallation of lift check valve/ppTesting main engines/ppHydrostatic testing/ppLube and oil flushing/ppAir conditioning hydro/ppInstallation of valve and pump packing/ppInstall turbine/ppInstall boiler tube replacement/ppFit and blue check liners/ppInstall steam valves/ppInstallation of hydraulic systems/ppShafting and bearing work/ppBlueprint reading/ph3Hours/h3pMay work 8, 10 or 12 hours shifts determined by the project./ph3Pay/h3p$30 Hr +/p/div
