Key Responsibilities: Answer and route phone calls to the appropriate person or department Perform accurate and timely data entry Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including overnight deliveries Process and organize returned mail; contact customers as needed via phone or email Assist in the issuance of vital records, such as birth, death, marriage, and dissolution certificates Learn and follow relevant policies and procedures Requirements/Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training in administrative/office support functions, procedures, and methods including the operation of personal computers and office equipment; or experience in customer service or public contact; or applying criteria/regulations; and/or performing administrative/office/secretarial support work including use of personal computers and office equipment. Preferred Qualifications: In-person customer service experience in a public-facing or fast-paced environment. Office experience in public service, including data entry, database use, and handling confidential information. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: A strong understanding of clerical and secretarial tasks, including recordkeeping, database management, and report preparation. Knowledge of customer service practices and relevant policies and procedures. Proficiency in grammar, punctuation, and composition for business communications. Skill in using word processing and data management software. Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally.
