Growing transportation company in Lancaster, PA is looking for a Diesel Mechanic working 10am - 6pm. Laid back shop working with the Lead Diesel Mechanic and independently for a few hours each day.

Join our team as a Diesel Mechanic and play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and related equipment. You'll be responsible for diagnosing malfunctions, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring our vehicles operate safely and efficiently. This position requires a skilled mechanic with a strong work ethic, the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in various tractors, trailers, passenger vehicles, liftgates, and company equipment such as brake pads, hoses, and leaks.
• Perform both routine and preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, state inspections, and brake inspections.
• Proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools, including power drills, saws, air tools, and impact guns.
• Possess and maintain a valid CDL Class A license to operate and road-test heavy-duty vehicles, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and supporting equipment transport as needed.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic.
• Inspection license (preferred)
• Valid CDL A license.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with diesel engine, electrical, mechanical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, transmission, truck, and engine repair.

Pay and Benefits
