Job Description

Seeking a talented Art Director to lead the creative direction that will connect our strategic goals with fresh, innovative designs, ensuring the final product is visually stunning, highly effective and impactful.

OVERVIEW

Concept Development: Originates and refines big ideas, finding unique angles ("hooks") to elevate work beyond the expected

Design & Aesthetics: Possesses deep knowledge of design principles and visual language

Strategic Thinking: Connects creative output directly to business challenges, justifying "why" a concept works strategically, not just aesthetically

Blend Art & Business: Understands marketing, business goals, and target audience, not just creating "art for art's sake"

QUALIFICATIONS

Packaging Design and Print Production experience a must – must be detail oriented and able to track multiple projects at once

Strong background in Shopify ecommerce platform with experience designing for responsive websites, landing pages, paid ads and social media - Grasp of CSS, html, php, .json and .liquid

Able to manage and modify Word Press website with understanding of Cpanel and SSL certificate management and installation

Able to design creative collateral while closely following brand guidelines and standards for brands such as Beautyrest and Nautica Home

Able to transform loose outlines into compelling creative solutions

Experience editing images, brand designs, graphics and existing designs across all media

Copywriting experience a plus with strong writing and editing skills

Need to be a strong and confident communicator and able to collaborate with diverse in-house and external partners

Able to use and leverage AI-based design tools with a willingness to learn and explore use in enhancing creative concepts and production

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Degree in graphic design, web design/development or closely related field
5 years of experience as an art director or creative director
Retail/wholesale bedding industry experience a plus

· Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
