Instructional Designer II Location: Remote (Preferably EST or CST) Duration: 5-Month Contract About the Team Our team supports the client’s global Customer Support organization by designing and delivering learning solutions for new employee onboarding, career progression, and organizational change initiatives. We are part of Continuous Improvement, responsible for consulting, designing, and enabling cross-functional efforts aligned with the client’s Operational Excellence strategy. About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Instructional Designer II to join our team. In this role, you will design engaging, effective, and scalable learning experiences that empower customer support teams worldwide. You will leverage instructional design methodologies, learning technologies, and multimedia tools to deliver innovative learning solutions aligned with business goals and continuous learning initiatives. This is a fully remote role, with a strong preference for candidates located in the Eastern or Central Time Zones to support collaboration across teams. What You’ll Be Doing Apply instructional design methodologies to create engaging learning solutions, including: Digital learning Virtual instructor-led training (vILT) Microlearning Videos and supporting documentation Design hands-on activities and assessments that promote experiential learning Conduct needs assessments and audience analysis to define learning objectives and strategies Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to translate complex content into clear, learner-centered materials Author, maintain, and update online courses using data-driven insights and training evaluation results Design and develop interactive eLearning using Articulate Storyline and Rise 360, including quizzes, assessments, and learner interactivity Build assessments to track learner progress and validate job readiness Collaborate cross-functionally with teams such as Product Development and Marketing to align training initiatives with organizational goals Maintain and refresh learning content as products, tools, and internal processes evolve Track work, progress, and deliverables using Asana Collect, analyze, and act on feedback from facilitators and learners Stay current with industry trends, learning theories, and emerging instructional technologies Contribute to advancing the organization’s knowledge of digital learning, facilitation, and learning technologies What You Bring to the Role Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field 3+ years of professional experience as an Instructional Designer Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design best practices Proficiency with: Authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise 360) Learning Management Systems (LMS) Adobe Creative Suite Google Workspace Experience with virtual training delivery and facilitation tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting to diverse audiences Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated passion for continuous learning and professional growth Portfolio Requirement A portfolio is required for consideration A direct link to an online portfolio is strongly preferred Portfolio should showcase a variety of instructional design work, such as: eLearning modules Digital or microlearning experiences Multimedia assets Assessments and interactive learning solutions Work Arrangement Fully Remote Time Zone Preference: EST or CST
