You will interact with customers throughout the day, help them find and select products, occasionally load merchandise, and ensure all customer needs are met./ppWhile you will spend most of your time listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise, your daily responsibilities may vary by department. Customer Service Associates work in one of the following departments, based on hiring needs and skillsets: Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Dcor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services./ph3Key Responsibilities/h3pWelcome customers to Lowes, answer questions, and deliver friendly and professional customer service./ppAssist customers with locating and handling merchandise./ppDown stock merchandise by looking for empty areas on shelves and replenishing supplies./ppProcess orders and deliveries accurately so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time./ppCross-functionally train in other areas of the store to help deliver the best customer service./ppPrepare merchandise in your department based on customer needs (e.g., tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds)./ppGuide customers through shopping or checkout./ppComplete other duties as assigned./ph3Minimum Qualifications/h3p6 months experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information./pp6 months experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets./ppReading, writing, and performing basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)./ppAble to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties./ppMinimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation./ph3Preferred Qualifications/h3p6 months of retail and/or customer service experience./ppBi-lingual skills./ppCertification in trade related to department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials)./ppLowes commitment to growth and teamwork extends to the community as well. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed.
